Offset your carbon footprint for an entire year, by choosing your country or region. This was the reference for our calculations: https://ourworldindata.org/per-capita-co2
Disclaimer: The # of trees planted is higher to count for possible tree losses, differences in carbon sequestration, etc.

During photosynthesis, trees 'sequester' CO2 from the atmosphere, cleaning our air. Then, they not only store the carbon but they also produce oxigen.
So, we challenge you to offset your footprint even more with tree planting 🌲
And we teamed up with Eden Reforestation Projects to make things happen. Check here!
Why Mangroves? Scientific studies - ask us for references if you want - have shown that Mangroves, key part of coastal ecosystems, “sequester carbon at a rate two to four times greater than mature tropical forests”, and contain “the highest carbon density of all terrestrial ecosystems". Also, the biomass stored in their roots support the large trees in muddy coastal areas where mangroves thrive.
All forestry institutions agree that a tree absorbs the maximum amount of carbon when it’s mature, and that a young tree collects only very little, as its size limits the photosynthesis process. On the other hand, when a tree ages, its growth eventually slows down.
Each mangrove tree planted by Eden Reforestation Projects removes around 308kg of CO2 from the atmosphere over its growth life (25 years), with an average of 12kg / year per tree.
